The youth of today....

Monday 15 October 2012

You know you're getting old when you look at the hoards of rampant high school children en route to school and the thought that pops into your mind is 'but where are their coats? They must be freezing! do their mothers know?'

They swagger past all attitude and inexperience spouting obscenities as if they were mere bridge words with a fag in one hand and a blackberry in the other (don't even get me started on the absurdity of children, yes children, and electronics). The girls all have their over processed hair teased and sprayed to the point were I'm positive there are corpses with healthier folicles as their orange faces cement themselves into a well rehearsed cruelty. Do their mothers seriously allow their daughters to leave house with more makeup than a drag queen and skirts that are shorter than a nappy?

I will admit to being rather baffled as to where they put their school supplies when all they appear to carry is a mere handbag. What about the text books, files and lunches? This genuinely bamboozles me. I simply cannot fathom where on earth they put.things.
If only they knew the true value of childhood. Where did it all go wrong? I dread The Spawn joining them and having to watch the undoing of all our hard work and the premature death of innocence.  It's enough to make of want to gather them to my bosom and run to the hills to live in utter isolation and never set foot in school.

At least they are safe, for now, happy playing please Mr crocodile and clapping games in the playground.
